Wide receiver Hayden Mitchell '17 was named first-team All-Metro by the Richmond Times-Dispatch over the holiday break.
Mitchell was the area's leading receiver, racking up 1,345 yards and 14 touchdowns, both school records. He caught 49 passes total in nine games. He broke the school's single-game record with 226 yards in a wild 50-42 victory over Fork Union.
Mitchell also returned 15 punts for 262 yards on the season.
Mitchell is the first All-Metro first teamer for football for StC since Fleet Wallace '15 for the 2014 season, also picked as a wide receiver.
The Saints had six other players receive honorable mentions: QB John Damgard '17, WR Justin Jasper '18, OL Henry Schroeder '18, DL D.T. Badley '17, LB Paul Thompson and DB Will Forrest '18.
