​​The Rev. John Ohmer has almost 30 years as an ordained Episcopal Priest: Interim Dean for the Cathedral of All Souls in Asheville, N.C., Rector of the Falls Church Episcopal in Falls Church, VA, Rector of St. James Episcopal Church in Leesburg, and Youth Pastor for St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Arlington. He is a graduate of Wabash College and earned a Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary.

Prior to ordination, he had a brief career in government, working as a Capitol Hill staff member, Press Secretary and Speech Writer in his home state of Indiana. As an author, John regularly contributes columns and perspective pieces for the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, and in 2015 he published Slaying Your Goliaths: How God Can Help (2015).
