Alan Stone ’70

2026 Recipient of Class of 1964 Service Award
Introduced to Haiti by  Ferdie, Alan turned a spark of inspiration into a decade-long crusade of global and local stewardship.
Following the 2010 earthquake, Stone organized and led annual St. James’s Episcopal Church mission trips to rebuild homes, construct a soccer field for youth, and support the St. Joseph Family’s homes for vulnerable boys and severely handicapped children. Stone eventually served as president of the nonprofit Hearts with Haiti, funding solar power grids and secondary education scholarships even after escalating civil unrest halted safe travel. Closer to home, he funded a transformative, multi-guitar music program at Cristo Rey High School and leads monthly musical fellowship at The Virginia Home, beautifully championing the St. Christopher's pillar of community.
