Boota retired in June 2024 after serving 18 years as chief financial officer for Episcopal High School. While at Episcopal, he served as an advisor for freshman boys, sat on several student-focused committees, and co-taught a senior spring semester elective called Entrepreneurial Studies.
He attended Princeton University, where he received his undergraduate degree in history and was captain of the men’s lacrosse team. He received his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia.
Prior to joining Episcopal, he worked for several small businesses in the Richmond area. He has also worked for several major corporations in New York City, San Francisco, Paris and Abu Dhabi. He and his wife, Shelley, have three grown children: Lindsey, Hunter (married to Molly) and Austin (married to Kelly). They have three grandsons: Bo, 3; Mason, 1; and Teddy, 2 months. But most importantly, Boota attended St. Christopher’s from first to eighth grade before leaving to attend Episcopal High School.
