STC Invitational attracts nation's best

Three performances good for top in the United States.
The sixth version of the St. Christopher's Track & Field Invitational turned into a record-setting meet, boasting a few of the top national performances in high school this season.

Bolling Field House saw three No. 1 times/distances in the United States accomplished.

Charlottesville's David Johnson went 49-10 1/4 in the boys triple jump, Louisa's Javanique Burrus jumped 20-1 in the girls long jump and Audrey Batzel of Ocean Lakes ran the 3200 in 10:39.96.

St. Christopher's team didn't have too bad of a showing itself.

Cross country standout Eddie Whitlock '12 is putting together an impressive indoor track season as well. He finished second in the 1000 (2:36.09) and third in the 3200 (9:43).

Teammate Will Abbott '14 grabbed third in the 1000 (2:38.20) and Chip Wigginton '13 flew 13-0 in the pole vault, good for third place.
