ALL-STATE TEAM The varsity football team's all-Prep League choices made a nice apperance on the VISAA All-State football team.
Cameron Barlow '12 (DB), Jimbo Partee '12 (OL) and Jack English '13 (DL) made the first team.
Barlow picked off two passes, broke up another 12 and returned a fumble for a TD in the state semifinals. Barlow, who had 39.5 tackles, also was the third-leading receiver on the team in terms of catches with 19 receptions for 163 yards.
Partee paved the way for 3,245 offensive yards and 37 TDs, while English excelled and stopping teams.
English totaled 46.5 tackles, including an astounding 20.5 for loss good for minus-100 yards for opponents. He also was the team leader in sacks (6.5) and fumble recoveries (5).
Tucker Brown '12 (TE) and Blair Farinholt '12 (WR) earned second-team honors.
Brown caught 14 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns. Farinholt hauled in 46 passes for 495 yards and six touchdowns, and rushed four times for 53 yards and a score.
Honorable mention honorees were Quent Alcorn '12 (OL), Marshall Hollertih '13 (RB) and Sam O'Ferrall '13 (FS).
