The golf star is headed to the U.S. Junior Amateur.
What a summer it has been for junior Adam Ball.
The 17-year-old booked a trip to the U.S. Junior Amateur golf championship by shooting a 5-under 139 Monday in the 36-hole sectional qualifier at Independence Golf Club.
It will be his third straight appearance, secured in part on a 7-under 65 in the afternoon round.
Just three days ago, the Prep League and state champion, won the VSGA junior match play title, and a week before that placed second in the Richmond Golf Association men's city amateur tournament.
The U.S. Junior Amateur is July 18-23 at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.
Ball has a quick turnaround as the state junior stroke play tournament is July 26-28 at Cedar Point Country Club in Suffolk, Va.
