Senior Ted Gottwald has been selected as the winner of the Lexus Pursuit of Perfection Leadership Award scholarship program. Each week, for 30 weeks, Lexus of Richmond recognized one outstanding high school senior scholar-athlete. These nominees demonstrated outstanding achievements and hard work both in the classroom and on the field of play. Last night all the nominees were honored at an awards banquet where Ted was selected to receive a $10,000 scholarship.

 
Gottwald plans to attend Virginia Military Institute in the fall where he will wrestle. He won his third straight VISAA title in 2010, helping lead the Saints to their 9th consecutive VISAA team title in wrestling. He also earned All-American honors at the National Prep Tournament. He has been a member of the Varsity Football team for three years, serving as a captain in 2009. Gottwald also sits on the Honor Council and is the Senior Class President.

Kyle Wittenauer, Mark Burlee, Mikey Bogese, and Bryce Chalkley were also nominated this year for the scholarship.
