Last Friday, January 20th, Freshman Basketball hosted Norfolk Academy after a tough loss against Benedictine. The Saints looked to bounce back and did, winning 47-25.
The game featured two unmovable defenses in the first half with the halftime score being 14-12 in favor of the Saints. They turned it up a notch in the third quarter, however, scoring 20 points in those seven minutes alone. Through several fast-break scores and defensive domination, the Saints distanced themselves with a 34-17 lead to start the fourth quarter.
Nine different players scored for the Saints with Collin Johnson ‘26 leading the pack with 10 points, but not far behind were James Ayers ‘26 and Patrick Lecky ‘26 with 8 apiece.
Hopefully, the Saints can keep this level of dominance up when they visit Collegiate next Friday, January 27th, at 4 pm.
