Biddison '18 drafted by L.A. Dodgers

Picked 135th overall in fourth round of MLB Draft.
Nick Biddison '18 was drafted by Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers Monday, July 18.

The historic franchise picked Biddison 135th overall in the fourth round.

Biddison was one of the best baseball players to ever don a Saints jersey, leading StC to the 2018 VISAA and Prep League championships. He was named Prep League, VISAA and All-Metro player of the year after batting .473 with eight homers, nine doubles, 34 runs and 22 RBI from his leadoff spot. His arm behind the plate was lethal, throwing out six of 14 runners who tried to steal on him. The Saints went 24-1 that year.

Nick went on to have a strong career at Virginia Tech, playing seemingly every position in the field for the Hokies. He started every game as a senior, hitting .351 with 14 home runs, 47 RBI and a team-leading 21 stolen bases and 88 hits.

Now he's a member of one of the most legendary franchises in all of sports.

Biddison is the first StC player drafted by the MLB since Austin Wates '07 and Kurt Fleming '10 were picked in the third and eighth round, respectively, in 2010.
