StC community honors the memory of Rev. Dr. Churchill Gibson Chamberlayne.
What a beautiful morning to celebrate Founder's Day! As part of a treasured annual tradition, Saints from all divisions gathered at the grave of our school's founder, the Rev. Dr. Churchill Gibson Chamberlayne, to honor his memory.
"The influence of Dr. Chamberlayne - educator, Episcopal priest, and historian - has prevailed for a century. He believed in a liberal arts education — academic rigor, athletics, appreciation of the arts, and development of character and integrity — what we now call "educating the whole boy," said Headmaster Mason Lecky during the ceremony. "St. Christopher's continues to strive for excellence in the same way it has for one hundred years."
