ABOUT THE ARTIST: After working as a landscape designer for 35 years and raising five sons, Carrington P. Brown returned to painting, working in oil, and oil and cold wax.
“I attempt to express a feeling about the places I visit, the beautiful horses I live with and ride, and the beauty and color of trout experienced while learning to fly fish with my husband. I really am just attempting to make the unseen visible or seen in a new way.”
Brown studied painting at Hollins College and Pratt Institute and earned a degree in fine art. Brown is a 1971 graduate of St. Catherine’s School. Her five sons and three brothers attended St. Christopher’s School and her grandfather was a former teacher at StC.
