The service of sung evening prayer was led by the Saints Singers, StC clergy and boys from the Missionary Society.
On Sunday, March 31, at 5:00 p.m. in St. Christopher's Memorial Chapel, students and chaplains held a service of Choral Evensong and Community Eucharist, also known as communion. Thanks to the many members of the StC community who came to worship.
About Evensong Evensong is a traditional service of sung evening prayer. As day settles into night, the Saints Singers bring worshipers into a peaceful place of rest and contemplation. The text of the service is drawn almost entirely from the Bible. Its main purpose is to proclaim the wonderful works of God in human history, and in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Sung psalms, canticles, and hymns are interwoven with scripture and homily. All are welcome to receive communion, while no one is required to do so.
