Mason Bates '95 wins Grammy Award

Bates, hailed as the most-performed composer of his generation, won for his work "The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs."
Congratulations to Mason Bates '95 on being awarded a Grammy for Best Opera Recording for his work "The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs," performed by the Santa Fe Opera. Mason, who returned to Richmond last May for an event prior to the premiere of his work "Children of Adam, songs of creation for chorus and orchestra" with the Richmond Symphony, is also the Honorary Chair for our Orchestrating Leadership Campaign to give creativity a home on our campus. Congratulations, Mason!
