Levengood '19 - StC's first All-American soccer player

Only sophomore named All-Region or All-American by NSCAA this season.
Alexander Levengood '19 is the first St. Christopher's soccer player to be named an All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, being named to the 2016 team Monday, Dec. 5.

Levengood was also named All-Mid-Atlantic Region, the sixth Saint to earn that honor, joining this illustrious group - Charles Valentine '93, Rob Cann '01, Doug Hare '01, Max Hare '06 and Austin Wates '07.

The All-American team consists of 70 players. Only one is from Virginia - Levengood - and only one is a sophomore - Levengood. Levengood is the only sophomore to make the Mid-Atlantic team, and one of only three players named to the team from Virginia.

The quick-footed forward deposited 28 goals this season for the Saints, and also handed out two assists. He had the game-winning goal in each of the Saints' three state-tournament victories on the way to the state crown and a 22-1-1 overall record.

Last week he was named state VISAA Division I player of the year, and also made the Prep League team in his first season suiting up for the Saints.
