Library Renovations

Capital Giving Library Renovations

Over the summers of 2024 and 2025, all three divisional libraries of St. Christopher's received complete renovations. Each space was thoughtfully redesigned for each divisions specific needs and age groups. Read below to learn more and see before and after photos.

Upper School's Memorial Library Renovation

Completed in Fall 2025, the Upper School’s Memorial Library received a complete renovation including new carpeting, furniture and custom bookshelves. In addition, the space was fully gutted to gain new A.V. equipment, electrical, hardwood flooring, a redesigned layout and added drywall. The reconfigured library has spaces for collaborative learning, quiet study, flexible classroom/conference room space, chess tables, and relaxing reading nooks to recharge during free periods.

Lower and Middle School Library Renovations

Completed in Summer 2024, the Lower School and Middle School Library spaces received complete renovations. The new Lower School library space has all new shelves and reading nooks, including new sofas and a special reading space carved out inside a decorative tree. In addition, the Hawkins' Hideaway space features new carpeting on the floors and risers, wood paneling on the walls, and wallpaper that depicts a storybook forest filled with starlight and overhead star lights to match.

The Middle School library was refreshed with new carpeting, furniture and custom bookshelves. With its new lighting and design, the library is meant to harken back to the original look and feel of the Wilton Hall, while also providing the boys with a fresh and updated space to read, study and gather with friends.
