Joey Prata '16 continued his success on the national level, placing fourth in the Asics Freestyle Nationals.

The state and National Prep champion worked at 113 pounds and won six matches. One win was over defending champion Danny Vega, ranked No. 1 in the country.

"This was his best performance to date," said Saints coach Ross Gitomer, who coached Prata in the North Dakota event. "The way Joey conducts himself on the mat, but off the mat, too, is what's most impressive. Joey is a leader on our wrestling team and holds respect from his classmates and teammates. I'm proud of him, great kid."
