Christopher Cullather ‘89 Lower School Playground
On September 16, St. Christopher’s dedicated the new Lower School playground in memory of John Christopher Cullather ‘89. The new state-of-the-art playground was given by friends and members of the Class of 1989 in celebration of their 25th Reunion.
The old playground was showing its age and was originally built for a student population half of our current enrollment. A lot of careful thought went into the design and construction of the school playground, and a team of faculty and administrators worked with experts for six months to determine what the new playground should include for children age 4 to 12.

Built for fitness and for fun, the new playground encourages kids to play outdoors developing their skills, engaging their imaginations, and bringing kids of all abilities together to play in a truly inclusive environment. The new equipment includes products with unique shapes, cool textures, and upbeat colors.
