Middle School students voted to highlight Richmond animal charities during the month of November. Students researched many animal charities and ultimately chose three: VCU's Dogs on Call, the Richmond Animal League, and Pets for Vets. Field trips were offered to to VCU hospital to meet a therapy dog and the program's director, to Richmond Animal League, and to the Virginia War Memorial on Veteran's Day to meet dogs helping veterans. The exciting close to our focus on Richmond animal charities was a raffle drawing to pie a teacher in the face. The proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the three charities.
