Levengood '19 state VISAA player of the year

Saints ranked 3rd in region, 20th in country in final NSCAA poll.
STATE VISAA DIVISION I TEAM

The state champion soccer team placed four players on the state VISAA Division I team, including player of the year Alexander Levengood '19.

Levengood poured in 28 goals and had two assists in a magical season. The forward scored at least once in each of the state tournament games, clinching each match with his score.

Joining him on the first team is midfielder Garrett Levy '17 and keeper Jalen Maurice '17. Levy controlled the midfield and put in 10 goals, second on the team, and had five assists.

Maurice had an outstanding save percentage of 83%. He was particularly strong in Prep League play, stopping 22 of 24 shots.

The Saints placed Frost Wood '17 on the second team. The center back helped Maurice quarterback the defense that posted a school-record tying 16 shutouts. 

The aforementioned four led the Saints to a 22-1-1 record and a final Region IV ranking of third in the National Soccer Coaches Assocation of American poll, 20th in the national poll.   FINAL NSCAA POLL
