Brandon Thomas '16 was honored as the All-Metro track athlete of the year Tuesday, the first in St. Christopher's history. The award has been in existence for 14 years.
Thomas, headed to Virginia Tech, led the Richmond-area in the 200-meter dash (21.44), 400 (47.45) and long jump (23-5 1/2). Each of those performances are school records.
He was a multiple-time Prep League and state VISAA champion. Thomas also had the fifth-best 100 (10.88) in the area.
In the winter, Thomas narrowly missed the award after leading in five events, three individual and two relays.
