Our after-school program serves St. Christopher’s boys and St. Catherine’s girls from junior kindergarten through grade seven. Held year-round, Extended Day is housed in a wing of St. Christopher’s Lower School and includes classrooms, a dance room, woodworking shop, and gym. Program highlights include:
 

•  Continuity and strong communication between a child’s school day and after-school teachers;
• Creative teachers (average tenure of 15 years), credentialed specialists with backgrounds in early childhood education and the arts;
• Structured and free-choice activities where students have time to relax and work on homework;
• Supervised study halls that reinforce good study habits, study skills, organization and time management;
• A broad-based curriculum that incorporates themes of international culture, literature, arts, and music as well as creative movement, dance, Spanish, woodworking, and cooking;
• Enrichment opportunities in fencing, chess, fishing, and music lessons.

Extended Day is open from 12:15 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday during the school year, and from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. during school holidays and summer. A variety of plans are available, giving parents options to best suit their family’s needs.
