Golf wins High School Invitational by 21 strokes

Only school under par in tournament with public and private schools.

The varsity golf team dominated the two-day High School Invitational at Independence Golf Club, shooting a 6-under 570 for Wednesday's victory.

The Saints were the only team under par in the tournament, besting second-place Chantilly (+15) and third-place Deep Run (+19).

StC also boasted the medalist of the event in senior Boyd Peete. He went 7-under 137. He won the Richmond Golf Association Junior title in July.

Connor Johnson '18 tied for second only a stroke behind, and Drew Brockwell '18 tied for fifth at 2-under. 

Only six golfers shot under par, and StC had three of them. Coleman Andrews '16 scored for the Saints in the first round, and Clifford Foster '18 counted in the second round to help StC to the impressive triumph.
