The Saints placed three players in double figures, and held Woodberry Forest to 10 points in the first half en route to a 53-30 victory in the first round of the Prep League tournament Thursday.

The Saints advance to Saturday's 1 pm semifinal to face top seed St. Anne's-Belfield. Fork Union is in the 3 pm semi, and awaits the Trinity Episcopal-Christchurch winner. That game will be played Friday at 5 pm.

In the win over Woodberry, Nick Sherod '16 put in 17 points, grabbed 15 rebounds and dished out six assists for the Saints (20-6), who have won more games than any other StC team in school history.

Alexander Petrie '17 scored 16 points and had six rebounds, and Fleet Wallace '15 knocked in 11 points. Wallace had seven points late in the first period to get StC going offensively.

Tickets for the rest of the Prep League tournament are $5. All games take place at Trinity. Sunday's championship game is at 3 pm.
