Early-Bird Hours: Get a headstart on camp with our Early-Bird hours. This program runs from 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. daily. Counselors will escort campers to their camp session at 9:00 a.m. The cost of the program is $35 a week.

Receive a $70 DISCOUNT! Register your camper for a morning or afternoon session combined with an add-on Day Camp for a whole day of fun! (No discount on outside vendor camps.) Our staff will meet your child at pick up from their morning camp and escort them to Day Camp.

    Become a Crime Scene Investigator! Boys and girls will examine actual crime scenes and learn how law enforcement professionals solve crimes. Meet real professional Crime Scene Investigators, K-9 Handlers, and Forensic Pathologists and use their actual tools to collect evidence. Campers will discover how crimes are solved and learn the important role biology, chemistry, and physics play a major role in each investigation. Crime Scene Analysis,
 Blood and Fiber Analysis, Handwriting Analysis, Fingerprinting, and DNA Analysis are just a few of the exciting techniques you will use to solve crimes.

  • Racing Game Design Camp (full-day)

    Join the most spectacular racing universe! Boys and girls will use the software, TrackMania United™ to create their own tracks using a “building block” process. Unlike most other racing games, the TrackMania™ series lets the player race a track as many times as they want without time limits. Campers will be given design and build challenges each day and can customize their cars, track ramps, and stunts and play against each other.

    Let’s create in 3D! Boys and girls will be using 3Doodler Pens to create amazing 3D structures. They will learn how to properly use the 3D pen and its practical applications in the fields of science, technology, and engineering. They will apply their newfound knowledge when they design, plan, and create their own 3D projects. All 3D projects will be taken home by campers along with a 3Doodler Pen!

  • Coding with Minecraft

  • Emergency Vet

    Are you ready to explore the world of Veterinary Medicine? Campers will meet practitioners and pet groomers, and they will be involved with several hands-on experiments with their very own medical kit. They will get hands-on experience on animal organ dissection and learn to use a syringe and suturing techniques too. Come learn about animal behavior, cancer research in animals, clinical procedure, first aid and dentistry care, diseases and parasites, entomology, microscopy, and anatomy. And you will also meet our CPR dog too!

  • Kerbal Rocketry

    Rising 6th - 8th Graders

    Campers experience the science and technology concepts behind space flight. Learning and experimenting with electrical circuits, a space flight simulation, architecture and building projects, and the physics of space travel, campers will design, experiment, and problem solve with computer programs and hands-on projects. Campers will be immersed in the programs such as “Kerbel Space Program” (space travel simulation), “Estes Rocketry” (real building and launching of rockets), “LittleBits” (electrical engineering and how it applies to innovation), and “West Point Bridge Builder” (design software).

  • QuadCopter Aerial Robotics

    Rising 6th - 8th Graders

    Let’s explore aerial robotics technology! Boys and girls will tackle scenarios and challenges, hone aviation flight skills, and learn robotics. Campers will build prototypes and run test scenarios for safety, search, and rescue. They will build a quad rotor designed for a specific first responder mission. They will deliver pharmaceuticals to people in a disaster area, maneuver the copter close to a (mock) hazardous waste container, and search for a lost hiker. Campers will even operate and take home their own hand-size quadcopter at the end of the week! Club SciKidz is partnering with OnPoynt Aerial Systems for this camp.

  • Racing with Robotics Session II

    Do you love LEGOS and robots? Let’s combine both into this exciting camp using LEGO  Mindstorms EV3 Robotics. Boys and girls will tackle real-world problems and solve them by designing and programming robots. This camp is geared toward boys and girls with some LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robotics experience. It is not necessary for campers to have participated in Racing with Robotics I to register for this program.

  • Special Effects: Zombie Edition

    We’re being attacked by zombies! Boys and girls will learn the science behind Hollywood’s special effects, including light, sound, perception, illusion, and model building. Campers will create and take home a movie using techniques in Claymation and Stop-Motion Animation. Lessons include plot development, storyboarding, set building, filming, and sound effects. Campers will also learn various techniques that professional makeup artists use for special effects. They will simulate cuts, bruises, artificial blood, and old age. Is there a future movie director living in your house? This is a camp your child won’t want to miss! Please have your moviemaker bring a 4G Flash Drive to camp to save their movie.

  • Video Game Factory

    Do you want to create your own video game? Campers will use Fusion 2.5 from Clickteam to learn how to build two-dimensional video games. This software provides an easy-to-use game-authoring environment that allows campers to create many types of computer games, screensavers, and other applications. We will get started with a Space Shooter Game where we will learn how to create moving backgrounds, add scores and lives, design instructions and titles, create waves of enemies, and transition screens.   • Young Surgeons

    Are you ready to become a physician or surgeon? Are you ready to learn important life saving techniques? Get ready to use medical instruments so you can diagnose patients and give shots. We will explore the structures and physiology of the amazing human body through projects such as Frog and Sheep Heart Dissection, Making Herbal Medicines, Learning to Stitch a Wound, Build a Lung Model, First Aid Techniques, and Splinting. Each camper will receive a stethoscope, dissection kit, first aid supplies and take their “Medical Boards” at the end of the week to receive their certificate.

  • Chemistry Concoctions

    All Labs-No Lectures! Campers spend the week conducting fascinating and fun chemistry experiments. Emphasis is on safety, chemistry history, proper use of chemistry lab equipment, and an introductory understanding of chemical symbols and reactions. This camp is a great way to prepare for high school and even college chemistry. Experiments include: metal flame tests, paper chromatography races, fluorescent polymer slime production, litmus indicator solutions, electricity in a test tube, a boat that runs on soap, and many more!

  • Doing Something Good - RVA Mission Adventure!
