Summer FAQ

List of 7 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. Are all camps and programs co-ed?

    Yes! All camps and programs at Summer Ventures are open to the community except for Global Online Academy courses. 
  • Q. Can Enrichment and Athletic camps overlap with Summer Experience Day Camp?

    YES! You can register your child for an Enrichment or Athletic Camp as well as our Summer Experience Day Camp during the same week. We will reimburse you $75 for the overlap in the morning. Our staff will meet your child at pick up from their morning camp and escort them to Summer Experience Day Camp. 

    Simply register for both camps and send an email to summer@stcva.org with your child's full name, your name, and your phone number. Please put "Overlapping Camps" in the subject line. 
     
    Don't forget! You can sign up for Early-Bird Hours, 7:30 - 9:00 am and After-Hours, 4:00 - 6:00 pm, if needed. 
  • Q. Can a class or camp be cancelled?

    Yes. If minimum enrollment numbers are not met, a class may be cancelled. You will be notified prior to the class start date if a session has been cancelled.
  • Q. Do I have to submit a deposit to register for a summer camp?

    Yes. A 50% deposit per camp or class is required with your application. This deposit will be applied toward tuition. A camper is not considered "Registered" until a payment has been made.
  • Q. Is St. Christopher's closed July 2-6?

    Yes. There are no summer camps scheudled the week of July 2-6.
  • Q. When is final payment due?

    Final payment is due on May 31. If enrolling on or after May 31, payment is expected in full. Campers will not be allowed to participate in a Summer Ventures program if there is an outstanding balance. Refund requests must be made in writing and sent to Janine Davila, Director of Summer Programs, by May 31. All refunds will be made less the deposit if requested by May 31, 2018. We will not be able to honor refund requests made after May 31, 2018.

    Any balance remaining after May 31, 2018, will be charged to the credit card on file.
  • Q. Can I receive a refund if my child cannot attend a camp or class?

    Refund requests must be made in writing and sent to Janine Davila, Director of Summer Programs, by May 31. All refunds will be made less $50.00 if requested by May 31, 2018. We will not be able to honor refund requests made after May 31, 2018.
