In the first round of the Douglas Freeman Invitational, the Saints dominated the Mavericks in the interior on their way to a 67-47 victory.

Freshman Darius Gray, in his Varsity debut, scored 13 points. Working in the paint, Gray scored the Saints' first 6 points. Sophomore Stuart Cosby in his Varsity debut, got things going from the outside for the Saints, knocking down 4 three pointers.

Returning veterans Brandon Jennings '24 and Sonny Bridges '25 scored 15 and 13 points, respectively. After an impressive opener, the Saints will play the Cadets of Benedictine in the semifinal of the Douglas Freeman Invitational at 6:30 pm at Douglas Freeman High School on Thursday.
