Saints Recognize Founder's Day at Emmanuel Episcopal Church

Boys, faculty and staff remember StC's founder, the Rev. Dr. Churchill Gibson Chamberlayne.
This morning, Saints gathered to honor Founder's Day, a celebration of the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Churchill Gibson Chamberlayne, the founder of St. Christopher's School.

Meeting at Dr. Chamberlayne's gravesite at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, boys, chaplains, faculty, and staff from each division said prayers and honored his memory. Headmaster Mason Lecky discussed Dr. Chamberlayne's vision for "educating the whole boy" and how StC, over 100 years after its founding, has stayed true to its mission of instilling the foundational principles of honor and integrity in our boys. "We give our thanks, pay our tributes, and reassure each other that the vision begun by Dr. Chamberlayne is alive and well," said Lecky during the service.
