KICKERS PRESS RELEASE

StC alum Simon Fitch '17 has signed with the Richmond Kickers for the 2022 season.

Fitch spent time with the Kickers as a Richmond United Academy player in 2016 and 2017, and played in a friendly in July of 2017 versus Swansea City FC at City Stadium.

The defender starred for George Washington (2017) and VCU (2018-21), and was named Atlantic 10 All-Academic each season.

"I was very excited when [Kickers head coach] Darren [Sawatzky] and his staff showed interest in me," Fitch told RichmondKickers.com. "Specifically, once I got to learn more about his vision for the club and the non-negotiable values that serve as the foundation for his group of players, I knew the Kickers was the right place for me."

The Kickers season begins on Saturday, April 2.

Wheat O'Hagan '20 was named to the NESCAC Fall All-Academic Team.

O'Hagan is a defender for Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., and saw action in five games with one start in 2021.
