Football 10-0 for first time in school history

Secures Prep League title.
The varsity football team dispatched of Collegiate in impressive form Saturday, Nov. 6, winning 48-14. StC is 10-0 for the first time in school history.

The Saints led 35-0 at halftime on four TDs from Josh Powell '22, three passing and one rushing. Powell found Joe Sullivan '22 from 37 yards, Andre Greene '22 for 93 and Nikkos Kovanes '22 for 20 more as the Saints led 21-0.

Powell then handed off to Trent Hendrick '22 for a 1-yard TD, and kept it himself for 14 yards with 48 seconds left in the second period.

Powell finished 16 for 19 for 294 yards and 4 TDs - he also hit Mac Grant '22 for a score. Greene totaled 6 catches for 143 yards and two scores, one from Grant. Davis Mack had four catches for 51 yards, and Henry Omohundro '24 ran four times for 55 yards.

Defensively, Hendrick led the way with 7 tackles, 2 sacks and a forced fumble. Luke Gathright '22, Jacob Zollar '24 and Preston Herrington '22 each nabbed interceptions.

The Saints are the No. 1 seed in the upcoming VISAA playoffs, and will host No. 4 Benedictine Saturday, Nov. 13 at 12:30 pm.
