Three StC alums teaming up

Fitch '17, Levengood '19 and Moore '19 suiting up for Lionsbridge FC.
Three former Saints are playing together on the soccer field for the first time.

Simon Fitch '17, Alexander Levengood '19 and Sam Moore '19 are suiting up for Lionsbridge FC of USL League Two. League Two is the leader in pre-professional soccer in North America and has almost 90 teams that make up four conferences and 12 divisions.

Lionsbridge plays its home games at Christopher Newport University's TowneBank Stadium. The team is currently 3-1-1 after a home win over North Carolina Fusion on May 29.

Fitch scored a goal in a 7-1 victory over North Carolina FC on May 15. He started all nine games for VCU this past spring.

Levengood was named first-team All-CAA this spring after leading the Tribe in goals (3) and points (7). He's also a two-time VaSID choice, moving up to the first team from last year's second team honor. Levengood has scored 10 goals in his career, with 24 starts.

Moore just finished up his redshirt freshman career at UNC-Chapel Hill as a defender.

The trio last played with one another for StC's futsal team in the 2016-17 season, but never played soccer together for St. Chris because of academy commitments.
