Saints too good for Bulldogs, Dolphins

The Saints varsity baseball team has yet to lose a game, improving their record to 6-0-1 after beating Norfolk Academy and Cape Henry Collegiate this past Saturday in a doubleheader. 

Saints traveled to Virginia Beach for an 11 a.m. matchup against the Dolphins. They won 8-5 after being tied 5-5 heading into the 6th inning. Junior Jacob Carnley '22 went 1 for 3 with a home run and also pitched two innings. Carter Schmitt '22 hit four RBIs, while going 2 for 4. Kyle Haines '22 was the main pitcher, throwing four innings. 

Soon after, the Saints headed to Norfolk to take on the Bulldogs. Saints took command of the game, holding the Bulldogs scoreless to win 6-0. Sophomore Charlie Knighton '23 went 1 for 3 with an RBI, and Griffin O'Ferrall '21 went 1 for 2 with a double. Saints played a well-rounded game, committing zero errors. 

Saints will stay at home on Tuesday, April 13, to take on the Trinity Titans at 4:30 p.m.
