Varsity Soccer won its spring opener Thursday, March 4 beating Veritas School 3-1.

Both teams struggled to find their groove at the start as the game was tied at zero going into the half. This changed, however, in the second half with a quick goal from senior captain Nick Washington.

Ian Cox ’23 followed shortly after with a goal of his own to take a 2-0 lead. Later, Wes Wise ’23 put the game away with a late goal in the final minutes to extend the lead to 3-1.

Max Hladky ’22 and Rex Alphen ’23 split time in goal and each had some nice saves to secure the Saints win. The Saints look to continue their success on Tuesday, March 16th facing the Trinity Titans on the road.
