Signing Day - Five confirm college choices

Burke, Hurt, Lewis, Tazewell and Wallace confirm commitments.
Five St. Christopher's student-athletes confirmed their verbal athletic commitments Wednesday on National Signing Day.

Alaister Burke (Richmond, Tennis), Loudon Hurt (Virginia, Wrestling), Porter Lewis (West Point, Lacrosse), Will Tazewell (Richmond, Lacrosse) and Walker Wallace (Cornell, Lacrosse) each signed their National Letters of Intent or confirmed their commitment to the admissions process at their future college.

Burke was unbeaten in singles and doubles in 2019, leading the tennis team to an undefeated season with Prep League and VISAA titles in tow. He is a first-team All-Metro and All-VISAA performer.

Hurt was the Prep League MVP in 2019, leading StC to an unprecedented 18th straight league wrestling crown. He then placed fourth in the VISAA championships at 170 pounds.

Lewis has been an Army pledge since the summer before his sophomore year, and has been a stalwart with the varsity lacrosse team since his freshman year. The forward has 59 goals and 21 assists in his career.

Tazewell dished out 39 assists and collected 30 goals in his junior campaign on his way to All-Prep, and All-Metro and All-VISAA first-team selections.

Wallace is a three-sport captain (football, basketball, lacrosse), and was an All-Prep, first-team All-VISAA and All-Metro selection after stopping 68% of shots with 170 saves in goal.

Senior commits Warner Collier (VMI, soccer), George Hodgson (Denison, lacrosse), Cole McCoy (Denison, lacrosse), Wheat O'Hagan (Trinity College, soccer) and Christian Thomas (Brown, football) will sign at a later time.
