Wood named USC Coach of Significance Winner
Wood represents Virginia, and is one of 41 coaches honored.

Varsity soccer coach Jay Wood is one of the third annual receipients of the High School Coach of Significance Award.
The United Soccer Coaches recognizes members who are coaching for character and using the soccer field to teach life lessons at the high school level. Wood is Virginia's receipient for 2019, and one of 41 coaches to receive the recognition.
This is Wood's 29th season as head coach at StC, 32nd overall. He has led the Saints to 390 wins in his head-coaching career (through Oct. 7, 2019), and coached numerous All-Prep and All-State performers.
