Saints Face Adversity

By Joe Brennan '20
For the first time this season, Varsity Lacrosse experienced difficulty in a game. While the Saints defeated Cardinal Gibbons 10-9, it did not come easy.

After not allowing a goal in the first quarter all season, the Saints let up three against the Crusaders. However, towards the end of the 2nd quarter, the Saints offense started clicking.

Davis Gillenwater '19 led the Saints with 4 goals and 1 assist, followed by Will Tazewell '20 with 3 goals and 1 assist. In addition, after struggling in the 1st half, face off man, Jeff Moore '20, caught fire in the 2nd.

"It's like a chess match. You just have to adjust to the other guy." said Moore.

After the game attack Porter Lewis '20 commented on what animal captured the teams essence.

"We're like a bull elephant. Because when they're calm, they're calm. But when they want to get up and go, they get up and go.

This win improves the Saints record to 9-0 and they will face St. Stephen's/St. Agnes in their next game Tuesday, April 9 at 4:30 on the road.
