Swimming third at states

Hogan '19 breaks record of Swanson '16 in 200 IM.

The swim and dive team placed third in the VISAA state meet, behind champ Norfolk Academy and runner-up Collegiate at the Jeff Rouse Center in Stafford, VA.

Tennessee-bound Sean Hogan '19 led the way, coming home with two first-place swims in the 200 IM (broke Charlie Swanson's VISAA record) and the 100 backstroke (broke his own school record) with All-American A times. He also broke the school record in the 100 Free with a time of 46.01. Hogan also helped the 4x100 relay team to a second-place finish with Hunter Sundlun '20, Aubrey Bowles '21 and Miles West '20.

Hogan was one of two racers to win two individual events.

Gray Broaddus '20 brought home fifth in 1-meter diving. Captain Hagan Aldridge '19 and Miles West went sixth and third in the 100 butterfly. Nick Washington '21 raced to a tenth place finish in the 50 Free. Hunter Sundlun got eighth in the 200 Free, and Aubrey Bowles earned a seventh place finish in the 500 free. Will Stevens '21 stepped up big for the saints, getting tenth in the 200 IM and 12th in the 500.
