We’d like to congratulate Mason Bates ‘95 on being nominated for three Grammy awards for his music in the opera “The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs.” Bates, who is serving as the honorary chair of our Orchestrating Leadership campaign to give creativity a home on our campus, just last week premiered his new symphony “The Art of War” at The Kennedy Center. This new symphony incorporates the sounds of mortar explosions captured at the Marine Corps base Camp Pendleton in San Diego County, California. Congratulations, Mason!
