There was no tiebreaker needed this time.

The cross country team ran away with the VISAA title at Fork Union Friday, Nov. 9, almost 30 points ahead of runner-up Bishop O'Connell.

The Saints were paced by Prep League champ Knight Bowles '21. He finished third overall in 17:14.10.

Neal Dhar '20 was fifth (17:22.50), Sully Beck '20 13th (17:46.50) and Joe Beck '19 14th (17:48.40). All four of the aforementioned runners earned all-state status.

Henry Valentine '20 was the final StC scorer at 18:04.60. Johnny Whitlock '20 wasn't far behind finishing 24th in 18:10.

In 2017, the Saints were tied after five runners and bested the runner-up as their sixth runner finished earlier than Woodberry's sixth.

This run seems to have no end in sight. StC loses two captains in seniors Joe Beck and Wyatt Campbell, but returns five of the top six runners by finish from the state meet in 2019. That doesn't include All-Prep Ian Smith '20, who was unable to participate in states.
