Wrestling places 10 on All-Metro team

Four first-teamers, six second-teamers.
ALL-METRO WRESTLING TEAM

As the number one team in the state, public or private, it should come as no surprise that many Saints made the All-Metro team.

But this year's team placed 10 wrestlers on the team, the most the program has ever had in one year.

Four made the first team - Erik Roggie '21 (106), Virginia signee Gray Hart '18 (138), Jackson Turley '19 (170) and American signee Carter Davis '18 (182). Roggie won his first state title, Hart is a two-time state champ and National Preps All-American, Turley won his third state title and finished second at National Preps, and Davis is a three-time All-American and two-time state champ.

More StC decorated wrestlers made the second team. Junior Connor Alexander (132) made his second appearance on All-Metro team, as did Jens Ames '18 (220), who made the first-team last season.

After overcoming horrific leg injuries earlier in his career, Trey Ashby '18 (113) made the second-team, his first All-Metro honor, along with two other first-timers, freshman Kevin Schork (120) and sophomore Loudon Hurt '20, and newcomer Ralph Levy '18 at heavyweight, who joining the team after taking a two-year hiatus.
