Andrews '18 headed to Roanoke

Baseball standout was All-State, All-Metro as a junior.
Hunter Andrews '18 will play college baseball at Roanoke College.

"The size of the school just felt right. The class size is a good size for me," Andrews said. "I just love the campus; it's a beautiful campus. The people I met there were just great people. I loved everything I saw there."

The outfielder/pitcher hit .398 as a junior for the Saints on his way to All-Prep, All-State and second-team All-Metro honors. He was also 3-1 on the mound, holding a 2.85 earned-run average.

The Maroon finished as the No. 3 team in the country last season, according to Andrews, who is hoping to lead the Saints to the No. 1 spot in the state private-school ranks in the spring.

"I'm excited to get back to a state championship," Andrews said. "I think our team this year will have a good chance at winning it."
