Tarkenton '13 enters coaching ranks
Former swimming star will assist at Colorado College.

Well, that didn't take long.
Dallas Tarkenton '13, fresh off of graduation from Mary Washington and an illustrious swimming career, has nabbed an assistant coach position for the men and women's teams at Colorado College.
The Division III school is in Colorado Springs, Colo., and competes in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.
"I am beyond thrilled to be out in Colorado Springs at Colorado College," Tarkenton said. "[Head coach] Anne James and the Colorado College community are beyond welcoming and I can not be more thankful to be starting my coaching career here."
Tarkenton was a multiple-time all-Capital Athletic Conference swimmer with the Eagles, winning six gold medals in his senior season. He was the four-time champ in the 200 IM and three-time 100 butterfly champ. Tarkenton was also an All-American, and Mary Washington's Male Athlete of the Year in 2016 and 2017.
