This form should be given directly to your son’s current school. It authorizes his current school to send us his records from the current year (first and second quarters) and records from two previous school years. Once an application has been submitted, this form can be found on your son’s admissions checklist on Saintsnet and also on the application forms page.

St. Christopher’s requires two current Teacher Recommendations for your son (typically, your son’s current English and Math teachers). You may send a request for recommendation to your son’s teacher through the admissions checklist on Saintsnet. You are encouraged to request that his teacher use the online tool for submitting recommendation forms, as this ensures accuracy and timeliness of submission. If preferred, your son’s teacher may mail or fax a paper recommendation to our Admissions Office.

    Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT)
As part of the application process your son will take a standardized test, the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT) - Upper Level. You may sign up online at A searchable database of dates and test sites is available as part of the online registration. Please put St. Christopher's school code (7124) on the form so that we will receive a copy of the results. Below are SSAT national testing dates when the test is offered at either St. Catherine’s, Collegiate, or St. Christopher's:
    • October 14, 2017 (St. Catherine’s)
    • November 11, 2017 (St. Christopher’s)
    • December 9, 2017 (Collegiate)
    • January 6, 2018 (St. Christopher's)
    • February 3, 2018 (St. Catherine’s)
    • March 3, 2018 (Collegiate)
Please note that taking the SSAT on the 3/3/18 test date will be the last date to make certain that your son’s SSAT scores will be reported in time for the first round of 9th grade decisions.
    • April 21, 2018 (St. Christopher’s)
    Character Skills Snapshot
    • Character and personal growth are an integral part of a St. Christopher’s School education. Grades and test scores just don’t tell us the whole story about your son. We care about your son and how he grows - not just his cognitive skills such as writing and math, but also growing into a good citizen with integrity, resilience, and teamwork skills - those skills that carry them forward into a successful life. The Character Skills Snapshot gives us richer and holistic information while also illuminating areas where St. Christopher’s can help your son grow and thrive.
    • The Character Skills Snapshot (CSS) is required for applicants to grades 9-12 only. For students who take the SSAT, there is no charge to take the CSS. Once you register for the SSAT, you will have access to the CSS. This is an online assessment completed at home and is separate from the SSAT testing date. Non-SSAT takers must pay $25 to take the CSS.

Once we have received your application for Upper School, we will call to schedule a day for your son to visit his appropriate grade and shadow a current student for the majority of the day. This day will also include your son completing a required writing sample in the admissions office. A normal Upper School shadow day begins in chapel at 8 am and will conclude after lunch in the afternoon.
    • Visits typically are scheduled after December 1, 2017.

All accepted candidates and their parents will be invited to attend this special program. Highlights include attending Upper School Chapel, a student Q & A session with current seniors, a student tour of St. Catherine’s, an information session for parents with Upper School Administrators and Faculty, and lunch with a diverse group of teachers, activity directors, and coaches.
    • March 23, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Initial admissions decision letters for 9th grade will be sent out electronically on March 17, 2018. Enrollment contracts will be due back by March 30th.

  • Additional admissions decisions for 9th grade, as well as for the 10th and 11th grades will continue on a rolling-basis after this date as space permits.
