We are excited to introduce Family Connection from Naviance, a secure, web-based resource that will assist students and parents in the college search and application process. Individual access codes for students and parents are distributed during the Junior Student and Parent night in January.
SAT and ACT Tests
Every student should plan to take the SAT or the ACT at least once in the spring of the Junior year and once in the fall of the senior year. Students should register for the tests online at the College Board or ACT websites.
Seniors should plan to take the SAT in August, October, November, December or take the ACT in September, October or December.
Juniors should plan to take the SAT in December, March, May, June or take the ACT in September, October or December.
Throughout the fall admission representatives from over 120 colleges will visit St. Chris. Attached is the calendar of currently scheduled visits. The calendar will be updated as new visits are scheduled.
October 30, 2018: speaker will be Mr. Chris Gruber, VP and Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Davidson College. The presentaion is a joint program of the college counseling offices at St. Christopher's, St. Catherine's and Collegiate. This year's program will be held on the Collegiate campus. April 9, 2019: Representatives from over 200 colleges will be present to meet with students and parents. Attached is the 2018 attending college list. The list of 2019 visiting colleges will be available in late March.
FAFSA—Free Application for Federal Student Aid—is the form required to qualify for federal aid programs. Most colleges require financial aid applicants to submit FAFSA, filing on-line saves 7-10 days processing time.
