Bemiss '16 headed to Cornell
Two-time All-Prep League pitcher headed to Ivy League.
Pitcher Jeb Bemiss '16 will continue his baseball career in the Ivy League at Cornell.
Bemiss, a two-sport captain, had a 4-2 record with 47 strikeouts for the Saints in his junior season as the Saints finished 15-6-1. He's a two-time All-Prep League selection.
"It's really nice to have that out of the way," Bemiss said of his acceptance and commitment. "Just this week I've gotten in touch with all of the guys from my class."
Also a football quarterback, Bemiss threw for 1,891 yards and 19 touchdowns this past season for the Saints. He's also a weekly winner of the Lexus of Richmond Pursuit of Perfection Award
He sports a 4.2 GPA and scored 2050 on his SAT. Though his StC career is winding down, there's still business to handle on the diamond.
"I'm excited about this season. I think between some of the younger guys coming up ... we're going to have a really good team."
