The varsity football team lost 20-18 to Collegiate in a thrilling high-school football game Saturday.

The seesaw affair was interesting the entire way. With 1:26 left, Justin Jasper '18 hauled in a 23-yard TD pass from Jeb Bemiss '16 to put the Saints within two.

However, Bemiss' 2-point pass to John Damgard '17 went incomplete. The Cougars recovered the ensuing onside kick and took the rivalry contest, ending the Saints' playoff hopes.

Bemiss had a career day, going 22 for 36 with 315 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Jasper (6 catches, 89 yards, TD), Damgard (6-64, TD) and Sam Cain '16 (5-119, TD) all had prolific days.

Defensively, Paul Thompson '17 (14 tackles, fumble recovery) and Sean Menges '16 (13 tackles, pass breakup) were tenacious.

The Saints ended their season at 5-5, 0-3 in Prep League play.
