 | St. Christopher’s School, founded in 1911, is a college preparatory school for boys (junior kindergarten through 12th grade) located in Richmond, Virginia. A full program of coordination with nearby St. Catherine's School includes a broad selection of courses at the Upper School level taught in coeducational classes on both campuses.
The School seeks to prepare a talented and diverse group of boys for college and for life in an ever-changing world. A rigorous academic program, small classes, dedicated and nurturing teachers who are experts in how boys learn, a vibrant program in athletics and the arts, and a commitment to leadership and personal responsibility are hallmarks of a St. Christopher’s education. It’s a commitment that lasts a lifetime.
At the heart of St. Christopher’s School, there lies a passion and a total commitment to prepare each student to excel in life, in academics, in his career, and in service to the community.
This commitment is demonstrated by the leadership of the school, the faculty, the alumni, and the parents. It’s derived from shared beliefs and values such as academic excellence, integrity, honor and responsibility that date back to the founding of the school. The commitment is about helping boys succeed in school, but even more about helping them succeed in life. It’s a continual commitment to helping boys grow intellectually, physically and spiritually to become men of character.
It’s a commitment in which teachers and coaches care deeply about each boy, setting high standards for achievement while providing nurture and support. This commitment extends beyond the school day and beyond the school campus into the community. It’s a commitment that lasts a lifetime.
St. Christopher’s unique sense of community is reflected in the active involvement of parents, alumni, and friends of the school, whose commitment to these shared values makes St. Christopher’s a better place. |
