Teacher's beloved dog dies, students show support

US Chemistry teacher Dan Fisher was touched by students' gesture
Upper School Chemistry teacher Dan Fisher's beloved Portuguese Water Dog "Brady" passed away within his first month of teaching at St. Christopher's this year. Brady, who had been training with Fisher to become a certified therapy dog and handler, stayed by Dan's side comforting him while he recovered from a car accident in 2015 that kept them from finishing the certification. Aware of the magnitude of his loss, sophomores in Fisher's chemistry class raised money that was donated to The Center for Human-Animal Interaction at Virginia Commonwealth University in Brady's name.
